Split-pressure solar water heater system's heat pipe series solar collectors are all-glass evacuated tubes combined with inside metal heat pipes. The selective coating on the inner tube converts solar energy into heat energy and transfers to the heat pipe by an aluminum fin. The liquid in the heat pipe changes into vapor, which rises to the condenser. The heat conducts to the liquid (anti-freeze liquid, glycol or water) inside the manifold copper header pipe and the vapor becomes liquid, returning to the base of the heat pipe. This continuous circulation transfers heat from the heat pipe to the manifold as long as sun is heating the collectors
